Sheyene Gerardi´s Welcome,
Our children are growing up in an ever changing world and our education systems are having a hard time keeping pace, we believe the key to preparing children for the future is providing an education that balances core academics with strong creative skills.
I have been working with Sheyene School since 2007, providing quality after class programs to vulnerable children, and I feel that it has been one the greatest thing to happen in my life, not because the system works but because there are people within the system who are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that a child has everything he or she deserves. I am excited to lead Sheyene School into a new period of growth and awareness. We are an organization built on the values of compassion and community, values that, I believe, will make the pivotal difference in a child’s life. I would also like to acknowledge everyone involved in our team of volunteers for being there for me every step of the way. It is not the system that recreates a child’s life, but the people working within it.
Sheyene School is more than just an organization, it’s a beacon of hope.

OUR SCHOOL
Founded in Venezuela in 2007, the Sheyene School has expanded globally to bridge the digital divide and foster technological literacy in STEM fields. Our mission is to provide low-income children of all backgrounds and ethnicities in underdeveloped regions with access to robotics education. We work with students aged 7 to 18.
OUR VISION
By meeting students where they are and offering engaging, hands-on experiences, our programs promote diversity in computer science. We focus on reaching underrepresented students from low-resource communities, conflict areas, and rural schools, ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to learn and grow.
AFTER CLASS PROGRAMS
Our after-school programs offer a variety of exciting challenges designed to spark students' interest in technology and science. Led by qualified staff and volunteers, these programs run throughout the year and cater to a wide range of interests. Whether your child is curious about coding, robotics, or other STEM fields, we have something to offer.
Sheyene School collaborates with the Florida Space Institute and the University of Central Florida (UCF) to elevate our global STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) education initiative. This collaborative effort aims to create not only educational opportunities but also a pathway to real-world jobs and economic participation. By focusing on hands-on robotics culminating in college-level competitions, we are empowering high-needs students with free, interactive robotics programs that equip them with valuable STEM, robotics, and planetary engineering principles. We believe this program is an opening door for our students, providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary for a future filled with exciting career opportunities and economic mobility.
Online Classes
Sheyene School is at the forefront of online education, combining cutting-edge research with proven teaching methods to inspire students of all ages. Our innovative approach empowers children to take ownership of their learning experience and build a strong foundation for future success. We are committed to making quality education accessible to all. Sheyene School offers over 19 free online courses to low-income children, providing them with the opportunity to explore a wide range of subjects and develop essential skills.
Coding and Programing
In today's digital world, coding and programming are indispensable skills. Sheyene School offers specialized classes in these areas, designed to equip high-needs students with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in the tech industry. Our small class sizes, led by passionate instructors, ensure personalized attention and a supportive learning environment.
Art Classes
Beyond technology, we believe in the power of the arts to foster creativity, critical thinking, and imagination. Sheyene School offers a comprehensive arts curriculum that engages students through a variety of mediums, helping them develop a lifelong appreciation for the beauty and value of artistic expression.
